Project Description

Goddard Consulting were the appointed CDM Consultants for both the base build and the fit-out of KidZania London, a £25 million, 75,000 sqft role playing theme park for children aged 4-14. It has its own airport, banks, hospital, university and even its own currency.

The idea originated in Mexico and has proven popular; there are now nineteen KidZanias across the world in locations such as Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai, Istanbul, Cairo and Seoul. On entry to the park, children are tagged electronically with a bracelet allowing parents to keep track of them, while they relax or go shopping.

The base build involved a complex vertical extension above Westfield’s existing M&S store and the fit-out phase crated the immersive learning facility.
