Goddard Consulting were the appointed CDM Client Advisers for Great Portland Estates’ (GPE) largest office development scheme to date.

2 Aldermanbury Square in EC2, delivers 321,650 sq ft of best-in-class HQ office space across a new 13-storey building. The development provides high-quality workspace alongside an enhanced public realm, including a new pedestrian bridge. The building features flexible floorplates, a double-height reception and a panoramic roof terrace, and benefits from easy connectivity to key transport hubs including Moorgate, Liverpool Street and Bank.

The development has a strong emphasis on sustainability, achieving a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating and meeting a low embodied carbon target. It is also GPE’s first NABERS Base Build Design for Performance 5* development. In addition, circular economy principles were applied through the reuse of over 1,500 tonnes of steel from the former City Place House.
