Exciting progress is being made at Holloway Park, where 215 new social rent homes are nearing completion.

The topping out of the first phase of homes marks a major milestone in the transformation of the historic Holloway Prison site into a vibrant, inclusive new community for Islington. This phase forms part of a wider development of nearly 1,000 homes, with 60% designated as affordable, delivered in partnership between London Square, Peabody, and the Greater London Authority.

Alongside high-quality new homes, Holloway Park will feature a 1.4-acre public park, the Women’s Building offering community support services, and sustainable design measures including air-source heat pumps, solar panels, and EV charging points.

The project is also creating lasting community benefit through a green skills training hub, giving local people opportunities to build experience in construction, with at least 30% of apprenticeship roles reserved for women.

Goddard Consulting are CDM Principal Designers for the development, which marks the start of a new chapter for this landmark north London site.
