St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Soho has reopened following a fourteen month refurbishment project which included the creation of a crypt, classrooms and cafe. The church, which is England’s oldest Roman Catholic Church, celebrated on 31st May with a choral performance composed especially for the occasion by James MacMillan. A mass was held on 2nd June led by His Eminence Cardinal George Pell, who flew in from Rome for the occasion.
