Celebrating the Diamond Jubilee and the National Maritime Museum’s 75th Anniversary, Royal River: Power, Pageantry and the Thames explores London’s greatest thoroughfare, and examines how the Thames has been used to display power and patronage throughout the history of the capital.

Guest curated by David Starkey, the exhibition brings together paintings, manuscripts and rare objects, many on display for the first time; items selected include Handel’s autographed score for the Royal Fireworks and stern carvings from the Royal Yacht Victoria & Albert III.

This exhibition is one of several projects that Goddard Consulting LLP have completed as CDM Co-ordinators for the National Maritime Museum.

Opened by Her Majesty the Queen in April 2012, more information and booking facilities can be found here.
