Project Description

Goddard Consulting are working with Pascall+Watson and Manchester Airports Group to transform the UK’s third largest airport.

The redevelopment programme, worth up to £1 billion over the next ten years, encompasses a series of 60 developments within the existing airport footprint.

The centerpiece of the programme is the expansion and reconfiguration of Terminal 2, which will more than doubles its current size to become the airport’s primary terminal, complete with double-height celling and new glass frontage and entrance. Other works include:

  • Upgrade and enhancement of Terminal 3          
  • 127 new check-in desks
  • 24 new security lanes
  • 12 new baggage belts
  • 60 new restaurants and shops  
  • 112 new or upgraded aircraft stands
  • 10,000 new car parking spaces
  • 2 new security halls
  • Improvements to taxiway and air side road
